We encourage everyone to get involved with our partner organizations, whether a member of Paws for a Cause or not.

Independent Animal Rescue

Independent Animal Rescue, or IAR, is on a mission to “rescue and care for cats and dogs in need and reduce the suffering of unwanted animals through [their] adoption, spay/neuter, and community education programs.” We have worked with IAR during our pet therapy, puppy kissing both, dop adoption, and puppy socialization events. OCAS

Orange County Animal Service, or OCAS, is on a mission to “meet the needs of residents by working with volunteers and other partners to deliver cost-effective and integrated sheltering and animal control services that ensure the health, safety and well being of humans, pets and the community as a whole.” We have worked with OCAS during pet therapy, puppy kissing booths, Pits in the Pit, Dogs and Donuts, volunteering at the OCAS shelter, the Purple Bowl benefit, and the Howl-o-ween Pet Costume Contest. Saving Grace

Saving Grace take in adoptable dogs across North Carolina who need a “second chance” at finding a forever home and those in critical situations. At their “Funny Farm,” Saving Grace strives to “provide a more natural and non-traditional shelter environment for dogs to interact with others and exhibit their natural behaviors while awaiting their forever homes.” We have worked with Saving Grace during our kissing booth event and pet food and supply drive. Canines for Service

Canines for Service “provides Veterans from all conflicts with service-connected PTSD, traumatic brain injuries, military sexual trauma, and/or mobility challenges with service dogs at no cost or fundraising requirements.” We have worked with Canines for Service during our pet therapy events and the “Laugh Your Tail Off” April Fool’s video contest. Carolina Tiger Rescue

Carolina Tiger Rescue is on a mission to “saving and protecting wild cats in captivity and in the wild through rescue and education.” They “work toward a day when wild cats are living in their native habitat and are not exploited by humans.” We have worked with Carolina Tiger Rescue during a volunteer session and tour.
